I found it! A new way {for me at least} to JAZZ up the documents that I create! I LOVE these borders {http://www.the-lilypad.com/store/product.php?productid=2291&cat=0&page=1} I purchased from The Lilypad. They have all sorts of fabulous borders, digital paper downloads, and lots more! Check them out They're very reasonably priced! I'm totally thinking about purchasing more!
I'm hopefully finishing up my classroom this week and plan on posting pictures and some freebies that I hope you can use in your own classroom!

I guess I'm not very good at this blogging thing...
But I TOTALLY have an excuse {I know I hate excuses, too... but sometimes they're needed!}!
My very supportive and awesome sister so lovingly pointed out to me via text tonight, "BTW... blog much?!" ~ Thanks, Sis! I know I've been slacking in Bloggy Land, but here's why...
Over the last week, I:
tad LOT busy!
I promise, Promise, PROMISE that I'll do a much better job blogging! And I'll get the hang of Google Docs and share some things that I've made/revamped for my kiddos!
In the meantime, please check out a few of my fave blogs... These ladies are super awesome!
The First Grade Parade {Mrs. Carrol is super peppy! Everything she makes is gorgeous!}
The Teacher Wife {The activities she makes are so engaging!}
Teaching in Flip Flops {She's doing the same theme as me... and I LOVE it! She shares TONS of things!}
Ladybug's Teacher Files {I can't believe how organized she is!}
eighteen25 {These sisters have the crafty part of my heart!}
Thanks for being patient with me! And Sis, thanks for keeping me on track. Love you!

Over the last week, I:
- was notified that I was moving from my beloved 2nd grade to 3rd grade.
- packed up my old classroom & moved it.
- unpacked & put away {most of} my collection in my new 3rd grade room.
skimmedread over the Common Core for 3rd grade.- interviewed new hires.
- and this week will host/attend a meeting with a rep from FranklinCovey for The Leader in Me.

Long time, No Blog...
Forgive me for not posting since my first... I've been a VERY busy girl!
Let me fill you in on what I've been busy doing:
I had a baby shower for one of my very good friends and (of course) I couldn't just purchase her a gift... I HAD to make her something(s)... Check out my craftiness~

(Sorry these are sideways...)
And of course I had to make her friend who's expecting twins something(s):
Aren't these just the cutest?!?!!!
I cut and sewed everything by hand... Before you start thinking how crazy I am... I do own a sewing machine (which would've made the task a lot easier and quicker) I just like the hand-stitched look!
Whewwwww!!! Can't wait to see those little bitty cuties in the onsies!

The Beginning...
Everything has a beginning...
I'm very excited and nervous at the same time about this new endeavor. I've never written anything for everyone to be able to view, read, and critique. YIKES!!!! The decision was made because I have found so many FABULOUSLY WONDERFUL blogs about teaching and crafting (two of my loves) that I've so thankfully borrowed ideas from, that I feel compelled to give back. Don't worry, I'll be sharing this beyond awesome blogs faves that I've found!!!!
And now for an introduction...
I am a military wife of an awesome soldier (we'll refer to him as "Hubby"). We've been married for 2 years and it's been great! The military lifestyle can be a lot to handle at times, but I wouldn't have it any other way. I'm beyond proud of my hero!
I am second grade teacher at a school that has every bit of technology that you could dream of and think at the same time, "How can I use that with the munchkins?!?!?!?!" This coming school year will be my eighth year... Where did the time go? I love the challenges and joys of teaching. I am not only a teacher, but I'm also the grade level leader amongst other things! It's awesome!
I am the oldest of 4 kids. I have a sister and two brothers and a niece. My parents are great and really do give great advice ( just don't tell 'em!)!
I hope to use this forum to give back- share ideas and activities, awesome crafting ideas, and other blogs (that are waaaay more talented than mine!).
Feel free to leave comments or questions and I'll do my best to answer them!
ENJOY!

I am a bonus mom. What is a "bonus mom" you say? Well, I think "bonus mom" sounds waaaaay nicer than "step-mom!" We all know the "evil step-moms" from fairy tales (and maybe real life)... and I just don't think that's me; not to mention, I don't want that to be me! I have two outrageously great bonus kiddos- both boys. They love fun, deep conversations, and their Daddy. The oldest (we'll refer to him as "Big Brother") is 12 and getting ready to start the 7th grade. He's so sweet and a great helper! The youngest (we'll refer to him as "Little Brother") is 6 and getting ready to start the 1st grade in the fall. He's a super smartie!
